Spectators: 7660 (Terracing: 5747, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) After recieving a nice pass, Broberg IF's Jyrki Peteri tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Broberg IF's zone, Aarni Lehkosuo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Touko Puutio came out of the goal and Aarni Lehkosuo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 11 played minutes Broberg IF got a freekick which was hit by Jaakoppi Hentunen. Broberg IF's Rauli Suoraniemi got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rauli Suoraniemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taneli Ristolainen having to interfere. Alfred Forss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Taneli Ristolainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 25 in the game by Rauli Suoraniemi from a close distance when the talented Taneli Ristolainen managed to make a qualified save. FriPa's players were relieved. Taneli Ristolainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Forss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FriPa's Taneli Ristolainen got control of the ball when Rauli Suoraniemi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 32 played minutes FriPa got a freekick which was hit by Aarni Lehkosuo. Jaakoppi Hentunen charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaakoppi Hentunen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th minute, Jaakoppi Hentunen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Rauli Suoraniemi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valio Pulkkinen during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Valio Pulkkinen hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Broberg IF's Alfred Forss in the 41st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Taneli Ristolainen was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for FriPa through an amazing save. Taneli Ristolainen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rauli Suoraniemi in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aarni Lehkosuo made a kick off. When Broberg IF's Rauli Suoraniemi in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FriPa's goalie prevented a goal. In the 65th minute, Alfred Forss made a precise shot to the right of Taneli Ristolainen. FriPa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The supporters of FriPa booed when Broberg IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaakoppi Hentunen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rauli Suoraniemi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Taneli Ristolainen having to make a save. Rauli Suoraniemi struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Taneli Ristolainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Broberg IF. If Rauli Suoraniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Broberg IF's Henri Seppo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rauli Suoraniemi in the 92nd minute of play forced FriPa's goalkeeper Taneli Ristolainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Rauli Suoraniemi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Broberg IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. There was no doubt that Broberg IF were the better team. Broberg IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
