Into Nyrhinen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Forss in the 4th minute of the match. Jaakoppi Hentunen charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaakoppi Hentunen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Broberg IF's Jaakoppi Hentunen got a free kick in the 6th minute. Black Wolves's Into Nyrhinen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Black Wolves from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes into the match, Black Wolves's Arvo Latvanen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Touko Puutio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arvo Latvanen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rauli Suoraniemi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Into Nyrhinen made a huge save. Broberg IF's Touko Puutio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vesa Kuki in the 25th minute of play. Vesa Kuki struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Touko Puutio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Black Wolves. Rauli Suoraniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Into Nyrhinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfred Forss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Into Nyrhinen was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Urho Lönnblad. Into Nyrhinen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Forss, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some careless play in the Broberg IF defense, Vesa Kuki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Touko Puutio. The Broberg IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Touko Puutio should have stopped the shot. 44 minutes into the match, Arvo Latvanen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Touko Puutio. Broberg IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arvo Latvanen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After the first half Black Wolves were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Arvo Latvanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Vesa Kuki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Wolves's supporters rose to their feet, but Vesa Kuki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Touko Puutio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 61 minutes, Erno Koskela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black Wolves and the Broberg IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Broberg IF booed when Black Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erno Koskela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henri Seppo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Into Nyrhinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the game, Sulho Mäkiaho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Broberg IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black Wolves the free kick. A collision led to Broberg IF getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Sulho Mäkiaho hit a great ball. Vesa Kuki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 71 played minutes Broberg IF got a freekick which was hit by Henri Seppo. After some careless play in the Broberg IF defense, Arvo Latvanen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Touko Puutio. The Broberg IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Touko Puutio should have stopped the shot. Ilmari Kangaskorpi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Black Wolves's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henri Seppo during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alfred Forss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilmari Kangaskorpi hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the game, Rauli Suoraniemi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Into Nyrhinen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Broberg IF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Black Wolves's performance. The match ended with a win for Black Wolves.
