An unexpectedly hard shot by Jalmari Keskinarkaus in the 12th minute of play forced FC Cum's goalkeeper Sulho Karvonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jalmari Keskinarkaus was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. Pätiälä's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jalmari Keskinarkaus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sulho Karvonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Cum's zone, Jalmari Keskinarkaus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sulho Karvonen came out of the goal and Jalmari Keskinarkaus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Niilo Lumme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jalmari Keskinarkaus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jarno Piiroinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niilo Lumme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aimo Virtanen during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, Aimo Virtanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Jalmari Keskinarkaus notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC Cum's Sulho Karvonen. Sulho Karvonen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd minute, Niilo Lumme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sulho Karvonen was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 78th minute Jalmari Keskinarkaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sulho Karvonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niilo Lumme couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Jalmari Keskinarkaus made a precise shot to the right of Sulho Karvonen. FC Cum's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Jarno Piiroinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herman Viljamaa having to interfere. Niilo Lumme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sulho Karvonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taito Ojanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Sulho Karvonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jalmari Keskinarkaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sulho Karvonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmi Takala in the 97th minute of play. Pätiälä walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
