But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tauno Jokiranta couldn't finish the play. If Tauno Jokiranta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sulho Karvonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tauno Jokiranta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sulho Karvonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tauno Jokiranta in the 46th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tauno Jokiranta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
