The referee ignored RLSN's protests and gave Riku Ruisniemi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to RLSN getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Riku Ruisniemi hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Paavo Kaikkonen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pispala IFK's Heikki Kaltiainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonni Möksy in the 21st minute of play. Jonni Möksy struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Heikki Kaltiainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RLSN. After 27 minutes, Esko Vapaniemi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RLSN and the Pispala IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, RLSN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esko Vapaniemi to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute of the match, Paavo Kaikkonen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Asmo Rönkkö saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paavo Kaikkonen in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Asmo Rönkkö saved RLSN from getting behind. Arho Kosonen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Asmo Rönkkö came out and tried to block the shot, but Arho Kosonen slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 31st minute. Asmo Rönkkö showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paavo Kaikkonen in the 35th minute of the match. RLSN's Asmo Rönkkö played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paavo Kaikkonen in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arho Kosonen got free with Asmo Rönkkö in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paavo Kaikkonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Asmo Rönkkö tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

After a defensive mix-up in RLSN's zone, Arho Kosonen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Asmo Rönkkö came out of the goal and Arho Kosonen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the match, RLSN's goal looked a bit too open when Paavo Kaikkonen came free, but Asmo Rönkkö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in RLSN's zone, Eerik Wallen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Asmo Rönkkö came out of the goal and Eerik Wallen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Paavo Kaikkonen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RLSN's Asmo Rönkkö was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Asmo Rönkkö showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paavo Kaikkonen in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Tenho Asukka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heikki Kaltiainen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 65th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Samu Tahvanainen. Heikki Kaltiainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonni Möksy in the 69th minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Jonni Möksy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RLSN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonni Möksy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute, Arho Kosonen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Petri Myllynen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rdth minute of the game Eerik Wallen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RLSN's Asmo Rönkkö was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Pispala IFK booed when RLSN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esko Vapaniemi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pispala IFK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
