An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Sjöberg in the 6th minute of play forced Pätiälä's goalkeeper Herman Viljamaa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guido Rosio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Valentin Sjöberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Herman Viljamaa to make any attempt to save it. Valentin Sjöberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herman Viljamaa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valentin Sjöberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Herman Viljamaa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valentin Sjöberg went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Valentin Sjöberg sped through Pätiälä's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Herman Viljamaa. 26 minutes into the game, Haaga's Valentin Sjöberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herman Viljamaa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Patrik Myötänen kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Haaga's Tarmo Lagerblom got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Valentin Sjöberg put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Herman Viljamaa. Pätiälä's Herman Viljamaa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Rosio in the 36th minute of play. After 39 played minutes Pätiälä got a freekick which was hit by Niilo Lumme. When Valentin Sjöberg got free in front of the goal in the 41st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Herman Viljamaa was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Herman Viljamaa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Julius Timmonen. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Herman Viljamaa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Sjöberg in the 52nd minute of play. Juuso Kaltiainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herman Viljamaa having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Valentin Sjöberg put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Herman Viljamaa. With a little luck, Haaga's Jussi Heinikainen got control of the ball when Niilo Lumme tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tarmo Lagerblom helped the player get up and apologised. Tarmo Lagerblom hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Sulevi Joenväärä from long distance, 68 minutes into the match, got Jussi Heinikainen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niilo Lumme got free with Jussi Heinikainen in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guido Rosio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Valentin Sjöberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herman Viljamaa was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Haaga's attack was well implemented in the 76th minute, but when Valentin Sjöberg was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 79 minutes into the match, Pätiälä's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Sjöberg came free, but Herman Viljamaa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 minutes, Taito Ojanen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pätiälä and the Haaga players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Valentin Sjöberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herman Viljamaa was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 93rd minute, Ilkka Pihkala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Sjöberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Herman Viljamaa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Haaga had played much better football throughout.
