Spectators: 6785 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jani Poikolainen took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ilpo Kanninen kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. The supporters of RLSN booed when Suonola IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ukko Latvala didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Esko Vapaniemi managed to get in a good position for a shot. RLSN's supporters rose to their feet, but Esko Vapaniemi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raino Urholin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonni Möksy in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raino Urholin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonni Möksy struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Raino Urholin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RLSN. Jani Poikolainen took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Asmo Rönkkö. Asmo Rönkkö dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Esko Vapaniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Esko Vapaniemi came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the RLSN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esko Vapaniemi couldn't finish the play. Jonni Möksy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute Eerikki Myllyniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asmo Rönkkö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonni Möksy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Raino Urholin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jani Poikolainen scored 0-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Asmo Rönkkö, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonni Möksy made a kick off. Jonni Möksy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raino Urholin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Jonni Möksy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonni Möksy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raino Urholin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Eerikki Myllyniemi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Asmo Rönkkö made a huge save. Jonni Möksy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Raino Urholin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esko Vapaniemi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raino Urholin having to make a save. Eerikki Myllyniemi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 88 in the game by Eerikki Myllyniemi from a close distance when the talented Asmo Rönkkö managed to make a qualified save. RLSN's players were relieved. In the 90th minute of the match Ilpo Kanninen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raino Urholin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Esko Vapaniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Raino Urholin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Esko Vapaniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eerikki Myllyniemi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
