An unexpectedly hard shot by Rauno Myötänen in the 14th minute of play forced RLSN's goalkeeper Asmo Rönkkö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rauno Myötänen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esko Vapaniemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Topi Tammisto having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, RLSN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonni Möksy to maneuver through the defense. BK46's Topi Tammisto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save BK46 from getting a goal against them. Asmo Rönkkö showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rauno Myötänen, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Eemil Sainomaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asmo Rönkkö having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Jonni Möksy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Topi Tammisto, 2-0. After some careless play in the BK46 defense, Esko Vapaniemi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Topi Tammisto. The BK46 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Topi Tammisto should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Untamo Blomquist hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rauno Myötänen got free with Asmo Rönkkö in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 60 minutes, Ilpo Kanninen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RLSN and the BK46 players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to RLSN getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ilpo Kanninen hit a great ball. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by RLSN's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ensio Pietiläinen was slow to take the kick. During this time BK46's players had a chance to rest. Rauno Myötänen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Asmo Rönkkö tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esko Vapaniemi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rauno Myötänen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Topi Tammisto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonni Möksy in the 79th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, BK46's Rauno Myötänen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asmo Rönkkö narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, RLSN's Asmo Rönkkö got control of the ball when Rauno Myötänen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Asmo Rönkkö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eemil Sainomaa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eemil Sainomaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asmo Rönkkö stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eemil Sainomaa's shot from short distance in the 97th minute.
