Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ahti Sihvonen started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Super Antar getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Santeri Hakanpää hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, Merilä's goal looked a bit too open when Pertti Heikkinen came free, but Anselmi Furuholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anselmi Furuholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikko Viljamaa in the 10th minute of play. Pertti Heikkinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mikko Viljamaa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Merilä's Ahti Sihvonen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jyri Ikonen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Mikko Viljamaa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Merilä's zone, Pertti Heikkinen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmi Furuholm came out of the goal and Pertti Heikkinen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jyri Ikonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petri Vikström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santeri Hakanpää kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Super Antar's Jyri Ikonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahti Sihvonen in the 34th minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Super Antar's Mikko Viljamaa in the 36th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Anselmi Furuholm was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Merilä through an amazing save. 37 minutes into the game, Reko Väisänen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Super Antar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merilä the free kick. Mikko Viljamaa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmi Furuholm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Pertti Heikkinen might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmi Furuholm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pertti Heikkinen ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Merilä's goalkeeper Anselmi Furuholm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Pertti Heikkinen made a precise shot to the right of Anselmi Furuholm. Merilä's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Anselmi Furuholm didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pertti Heikkinen went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 70th minute, Pertti Heikkinen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Super Antar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Pertti Heikkinen fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Super Antar's protests and gave Pertti Heikkinen a yellow card for diving instead. Petri Vikström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jyri Ikonen having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Pertti Heikkinen put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Anselmi Furuholm. Mikko Viljamaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Anselmi Furuholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pertti Heikkinen might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmi Furuholm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pertti Heikkinen ran back to his position shaking his head. Anselmi Furuholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikko Viljamaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Super Antar's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
