After having played for 17 minutes, Mikko Viljamaa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Super Antar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikko Viljamaa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Super Antar's Jyri Ikonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oiva Jokiranta in the 19th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Mikko Viljamaa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Super Antar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikko Viljamaa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Kauno Nikkari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Lasse ja Pojat:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Super Antar:s goal. Alvi Haapala went to the wrong direction when Reko Väisänen was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Mikko Viljamaa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Super Antar's supporters rose to their feet, but Mikko Viljamaa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvi Haapala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Mikko Viljamaa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Super Antar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Alvi Haapala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pertti Heikkinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Lasse ja Pojat's goal looked a bit too open when Mikko Viljamaa came free, but Alvi Haapala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 45 minutes on the clock, Kalervo Kuoppala commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Super Antar:s Jyri Ikonen showed great skill when he stopped Paavali Kallio:s penalty. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kauno Nikkari to strike the kick off in the second half. Mikko Viljamaa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 51st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Reko Väisänen fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Super Antar's protests and gave Reko Väisänen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lasse ja Pojat booed when Super Antar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reko Väisänen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute Kari Kananen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvi Haapala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Herkko Ryynänen threw the ball into play from the sideline. Super Antar's Mikko Viljamaa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Santeri Hakanpää had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Alvi Haapala successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 64 minutes into the match, Super Antar's goal looked a bit too open when Oskari Kamppunen came free, but Jyri Ikonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jyri Ikonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yrjänä Koskinen in the 71st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Yrjänä Koskinen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jyri Ikonen was relentless in the 71st minute of the game.
