The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th match minute, EBK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hemminki Hevonkorpi to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Valtteri Karhu sped through EBK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Esa Alin. After 14 minutes of play, Korospohja FC's Valtteri Karhu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esa Alin was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Lasse Blom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esa Alin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lasse Blom's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the game, one of EBK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. EBK:s Esa Alin showed great skill when he stopped Pertti Väänänen:s penalty. After 23 minutes of play, Korospohja FC's Pertti Väänänen made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esa Alin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Esa Alin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valtteri Karhu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esa Alin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lasse Blom went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Valtteri Karhu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esa Alin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valtteri Karhu in the 43rd minute of play.

After 52 minutes of play, Korospohja FC's Valtteri Karhu made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esa Alin was left in no man's land by his defense there! 56 minutes into the match, Korospohja FC's Valtteri Karhu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esa Alin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 60 in the game by Lasse Blom from a close distance when the talented Esa Alin managed to make a qualified save. EBK's players were relieved. Keijo Rahkonen kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Korospohja FC's Pertti Väänänen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Esa Alin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valtteri Karhu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Valtteri Karhu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valtteri Karhu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esa Alin having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, EBK's goalkeeper Esa Alin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lasse Blom. After 81 played minutes EBK got a freekick which was hit by Hemminki Hevonkorpi. Valtteri Karhu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the game, Veli Helin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EBK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Korospohja FC the free kick. After 83 played minutes EBK got a freekick which was hit by Veli Helin. Korospohja FC's Valtteri Karhu got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Esa Alin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valtteri Karhu in the 88th minute of play. If Valtteri Karhu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lasse Blom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Esa Alin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Korospohja FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
