Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pertti Heikkinen started the match with the kick off. Jyri Ikonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reino Nevanlinna, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Paavo Vähäsalo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pertti Heikkinen's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. In the 13th match minute, Super Antar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santeri Hakanpää to maneuver through the defense. Jyri Ikonen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reino Nevanlinna's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 20th match minute, Super Antar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarvo Elo to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Reino Nevanlinna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jyri Ikonen. Super Antar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reino Nevanlinna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The supporters of IF Kronan booed when Super Antar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kalervo Kuoppala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pertti Heikkinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Super Antar's Jyri Ikonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reino Nevanlinna in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Mikko Viljamaa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Super Antar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikko Viljamaa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Super Antar's Pertti Heikkinen got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Super Antar's Pertti Heikkinen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reino Nevanlinna to make the kick off. If Aimo Ruutu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reko Väisänen kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If Mikko Viljamaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pertti Heikkinen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paavo Vähäsalo having to make a save. 60 minutes into the match, IF Kronan's goal looked a bit too open when Pertti Heikkinen came free, but Paavo Vähäsalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 minutes of play Super Antar's Tarvo Elo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 64th minute, Aimo Ruutu made a precise shot to the right of Jyri Ikonen. Super Antar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Super Antar's Jyri Ikonen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Super Antar from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in IF Kronan's zone, Santeri Hakanpää stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paavo Vähäsalo came out of the goal and Santeri Hakanpää tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isto Markkula's late challenge caught a Super Antar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isto Markkula helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Super Antar booed when IF Kronan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isto Markkula didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Einari Alanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mikko Viljamaa came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Super Antar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikko Viljamaa couldn't finish the play. The audience held their breath when Mikko Viljamaa in the 89th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Paavo Vähäsalo's left hand side. Although Super Antar had been in control for most of the match, IF Kronan still came away with the win.
