Siuruanmaa IFK's Kalevi Väänänen got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kalevi Väänänen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aku Viitala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Åbo club De Futbal's Aku Viitala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Piispa in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kalevi Väänänen in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aku Viitala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kalevi Väänänen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kalevi Väänänen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Piispa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Aku Viitala made a huge save. Aku Viitala came out of the goal and Kalevi Väänänen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the match, Siuruanmaa IFK's Kalevi Väänänen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aku Viitala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Piispa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aku Viitala firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Daniel Piispa came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Siuruanmaa IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Piispa couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Åbo club De Futbal's zone, Daniel Piispa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aku Viitala came out of the goal and Daniel Piispa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Siuruanmaa IFK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
