After 2 minutes, Raimo Viinanen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lähemäen Dynamo and the Taivasvanne players grew even worse after the yellow card. Raimo Viinanen hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. When Ernesto Lluis fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lähemäen Dynamo's protests and gave Ernesto Lluis a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Lähemäen Dynamo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Taivasvanne:s goal. Niklas Mustonen scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jesse Hautaoja, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roope Nurmi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leif Virkkunen having to make a save. Leif Virkkunen made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Roope Nurmi sent off a good shot on target. Lähemäen Dynamo's Jesse Hautaoja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Mustonen in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute Niklas Mustonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesse Hautaoja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niklas Mustonen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesse Hautaoja having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimo Viinanen in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leif Virkkunen saved Taivasvanne from getting behind. A hard shot 35 in the game by Raimo Viinanen from a close distance when the talented Leif Virkkunen managed to make a qualified save. Taivasvanne's players were relieved. Juha Kuusela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Risto Tuokko made the kick off in the second half. Leif Virkkunen came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lähemäen Dynamo's Raimo Viinanen. But to his dismay, Raimo Viinanen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Otso Salmi kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimo Viinanen in the 67th minute of play forced Taivasvanne's goalkeeper Leif Virkkunen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Raimo Viinanen put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Leif Virkkunen. If Raimo Viinanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes, Lähemäen Dynamo's Ismo Bruun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leif Virkkunen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lähemäen Dynamo reached it. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taivasvanne's goalkeeper Leif Virkkunen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jesse Hautaoja made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Ale Kamppunen sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th match minute, Lähemäen Dynamo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rikhard Järventie to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Raimo Viinanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Virkkunen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leif Virkkunen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimo Viinanen in the 97th minute of the match. Lähemäen Dynamo were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
