Spectators: 5911 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1811, VIP seats: 100) Kainuunmäki IFK's Valdemar Mustonen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Kannuksen ura's Voitto Ketola got a free kick in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kannuksen ura's zone, Kari Kurttila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aapeli Kaikkonen came out of the goal and Kari Kurttila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niko Pulkkinen got free with Ilmari Virta in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Keimo Elovaara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilmari Virta having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Kainuunmäki IFK's goalkeeper Ilmari Virta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niko Pulkkinen. Niko Pulkkinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ilmari Virta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pietari Jokela took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aapeli Kaikkonen. Kannuksen ura's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kaapro Laurila hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Mika Laine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kannuksen ura's supporters rose to their feet, but Mika Laine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilmari Virta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mika Laine to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Kaapro Laurila was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kannuksen ura's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kainuunmäki IFK the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, Kannuksen ura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaapro Laurila to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Mika Laine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kannuksen ura's supporters rose to their feet, but Mika Laine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilmari Virta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Mika Laine's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilmari Virta was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Aapeli Kaikkonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar Mustonen in the 59th minute of the match. Ilmari Virta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niko Pulkkinen in the 64th minute of play. Niko Pulkkinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilmari Virta having to interfere. Niko Pulkkinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 71 minutes, Mika Laine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kannuksen ura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mika Laine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niko Pulkkinen in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilmari Virta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Niko Pulkkinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Kannuksen ura getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Kaapro Laurila hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the game, Kannuksen ura's Mika Laine nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilmari Virta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Niko Pulkkinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute of the match, Kari Kurttila got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aapeli Kaikkonen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Kainuunmäki IFK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aleksi Pitkänen in the 97th minute. The corner ended in Aleksi Pitkänen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kannuksen ura's Aapeli Kaikkonen did a great save.
