Paavo Moskuvaara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fesbra's Paavo Moskuvaara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kari Kurttila in the 20th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Fesbra got a freekick which was hit by Teppo Hannukainen. In the 24th minute, Valdemar Mustonen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kainuunmäki IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Teppo Hannukainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilmari Virta having to interfere. Kainuunmäki IFK's Ilmari Virta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Peltola in the 29th minute of play. Kainuunmäki IFK's Saku Pihlanen pulled a muscle in his back after 31 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 31 minutes into the game, Teemu Parkkali was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fesbra's Teijo Viisala got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Fesbra booed when Kainuunmäki IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asmo Oinas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute Ali Peltola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilmari Virta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Peltola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ali Peltola to make the kick off. Ilmari Virta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teijo Viisala in the 54th minute of the match. Ilmari Virta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teijo Viisala, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Kainuunmäki IFK's Ilmari Virta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teppo Hannukainen in the 57th minute of play. Kari Kurttila's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Paavo Moskuvaara firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Kainuunmäki IFK's Voitto Uusikartano got a free kick in the 71st minute.
