The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Herman Uitto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Väinö Nylund's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. If Ali Peltola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toimi Saravo during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th minute, Toimi Saravo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herman Uitto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Peltola's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Isko Lähteenmäki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herman Uitto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Väinö Nylund, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ali Peltola in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herman Uitto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Väinö Nylund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fesbra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 26th minute, Teemu Parkkali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommi Salermo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Väinö Nylund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes Känsäkangas got a freekick which was hit by Heimo Saastamoinen. Ali Peltola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herman Uitto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teppo Hannukainen in the 35th minute of play. Ali Peltola struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Herman Uitto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fesbra. In the 41st minute Väinö Nylund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herman Uitto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Teppo Hannukainen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herman Uitto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 48th minute, Teppo Hannukainen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Tommi Salermo made a precise shot to the right of Paavo Moskuvaara. Fesbra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 56 minutes into the match, Toimi Saravo notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Fesbra's Paavo Moskuvaara. Paavo Moskuvaara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Känsäkangas's Hannes Korkeamäki got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After having played for 64 minutes, Ali Peltola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fesbra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Peltola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teijo Viisala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herman Uitto having to interfere. With a little luck, Känsäkangas's Herman Uitto got control of the ball when Väinö Nylund tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Teppo Hannukainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Väinö Nylund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Herman Uitto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paavo Moskuvaara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jani Aho went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Väinö Nylund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 87 minutes, Teppo Hannukainen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fesbra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teppo Hannukainen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teijo Viisala in the 88th minute of play forced Känsäkangas's goalkeeper Herman Uitto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herman Uitto made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Teppo Hannukainen sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Ali Peltola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fesbra's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Peltola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herman Uitto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Känsäkangas's Herman Uitto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Peltola in the 92nd minute of play. Vilho Eronen kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Fesbra players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
