Spectators: 7331 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 55) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Toimi Saravo started the match with the kick off. With an all-out effort, Känsäkangas's Ilari Holtti threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Toimi Saravo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Känsäkangas's Herman Uitto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Into Hakala in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Into Hakala in the 7th minute of play forced Känsäkangas's goalkeeper Herman Uitto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herman Uitto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Topias Manneroos, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Tommi Salermo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Ilari Holtti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ilari Holtti didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 19th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. If Tommi Salermo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Topias Manneroos scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herman Uitto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Känsäkangas's Herman Uitto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Into Hakala in the 32nd minute of play. Herman Uitto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Topias Manneroos in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toimi Saravo in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilari Holtti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Känsäkangas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Terho Voutilainen in the 41st minute. 45 minutes into the match, Topias Manneroos notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Känsäkangas's Herman Uitto. Herman Uitto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Känsäkangas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Liharuusu were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Into Hakala to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Jani Aho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilari Holtti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Liharuusu defense, Tommi Salermo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilari Holtti. The Liharuusu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilari Holtti should have stopped the shot. 69 minutes into the match, Toimi Saravo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilari Holtti. Liharuusu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toimi Saravo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The supporters of Liharuusu booed when Känsäkangas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Korkeamäki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommi Salermo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilari Holtti having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Liharuusu got a freekick which was hit by Teemu Tammisto. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Tommi Salermo sped through Liharuusu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ilari Holtti. Toimi Saravo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommi Salermo charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommi Salermo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Känsäkangas getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Tommi Salermo hit a great ball. Liharuusu's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
