Tuukka Erkkilä breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 11 minutes, Väinö Noronen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jokisuu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Väinö Noronen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jokisuu FC's Sylvesteri Reinikainen got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sylvesteri Reinikainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pokaalinmetsästäjät's Tuukka Erkkilä played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Väinö Noronen in the 18th minute of play. Reko Läänelä hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Jokisuu FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rasmus Rinne fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rasmus Rinne kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot Jokisuu FC's keeper Ville Järvenpää was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 26th match minute, Jokisuu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylvesteri Välivaara to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th play minute Rasmus Rinne came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ville Järvenpää. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joni Myötänen during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pokaalinmetsästäjät booed when Jokisuu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teijo Kärki didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute of the match Rami Villanen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tuukka Erkkilä showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sylvesteri Reinikainen to strike the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Väinö Noronen got free with Tuukka Erkkilä in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute Sylvesteri Reinikainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuukka Erkkilä saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Pokaalinmetsästäjät getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Aimo Väisänen hit a great ball. Väinö Noronen came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tuukka Erkkilä could save by the left post. Sylvesteri Reinikainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
