The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Hölmölä FC's Kaarle Oksa got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Hölmölä FC's Arttu Jukkola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Hölmölä FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Hölmölä FC's Arttu Jukkola got control of the ball when Teemu Malinen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 15 played minutes, Hölmölä FC's Mika Niinimäki shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Uljas Kuki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hölmölä FC reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aulis Vihervä during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aulis Vihervä hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Arttu Jukkola successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Anssi Huttunen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arttu Jukkola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Kragerø FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kullervo Kallijärvi to maneuver through the defense. Arttu Jukkola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teemu Malinen in the 39th minute. Juhani Pärssinen hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute of the match Hölmölä FC got a corner. Kragerø FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mika Niinimäki ran over to the corner to take the kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anssi Huttunen made a kick off. Teemu Malinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hölmölä FC's Arttu Jukkola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teemu Malinen in the 56th minute of play. Anssi Huttunen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Joni Lahikainen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Joni Lahikainen came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Hölmölä FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joni Lahikainen couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Anssi Huttunen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kragerø FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Anssi Huttunen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arttu Jukkola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the match, Kragerø FK's goalkeeper Uljas Kuki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joni Lahikainen. Uljas Kuki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Hedberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Kullervo Kallijärvi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kragerø FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kullervo Kallijärvi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arttu Jukkola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 89 minutes of play, Kragerø FK's Ossi Kujanpää made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arttu Jukkola was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hölmölä FC's Arttu Jukkola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anssi Huttunen in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kragerø FK had won after a very even match.
