Seating: 1788, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ville Kukkamäki made the kick off which started today's match. Aleksis Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ville Kukkamäki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taavetti Latvanen kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Kim Karjala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jyrki Lahti in the 15th minute of play. Kim Karjala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panu Rajamäki in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Kaleva Kanninen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Amöba's Aleksis Andersson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save FC Amöba from getting a goal against them. Panu Rajamäki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Kim Karjala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Amöba's Aleksis Andersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ville Kukkamäki in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute Jyrki Lahti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Karjala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panu Rajamäki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kim Karjala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 45th minute when Jyrki Lahti elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Panu Rajamäki was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Kauno Hujanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kim Karjala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panu Rajamäki in the 54th minute of play. Kim Karjala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panu Rajamäki, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The audience was convinced that Ville Kukkamäki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aleksis Andersson was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. 68 minutes into the game, Lauri Peuhkuri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Amöba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matinkylä FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Amöba's Lauri Peuhkuri got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Taisto Masalin came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Matinkylä FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taisto Masalin couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Matinkylä FC's Kustaa Myllys seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kustaa Myllys the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Matinkylä FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kustaa Myllys had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Kaapro Hauhtonen shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Kim Karjala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panu Rajamäki in the 78th minute of the match. Kim Karjala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jyrki Lahti in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Taisto Masalin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Aleksis Andersson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute, Panu Rajamäki fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panu Rajamäki in the 94th minute of play forced Matinkylä FC's goalkeeper Kim Karjala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Matinkylä FC's Kauno Hujanen got a free kick in the 96th minute. Kaapro Hauhtonen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
