In the 5th match minute, FC Minos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ukko Hautamäki to maneuver through the defense. Taisto Masalin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Timo Furuholm having to make a save. Taisto Masalin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Timo Furuholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aapeli Lundell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the match, FC Minos's goal looked a bit too open when Ville Kukkamäki came free, but Timo Furuholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verneri Rimpilä in the 21st minute of play forced Matinkylä FC's goalkeeper Kim Karjala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ville Kukkamäki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timo Furuholm having to interfere. If Taisto Masalin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Verneri Rimpilä received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kim Karjala came out and tried to block the shot, but Verneri Rimpilä slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Aapeli Lundell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim Karjala having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Verneri Rimpilä's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kim Karjala was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Aapeli Lundell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kim Karjala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verneri Rimpilä in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Matinkylä FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Pauli Virolainen hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Aapeli Lundell managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Minos's supporters rose to their feet, but Aapeli Lundell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kim Karjala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Kaleva Kanninen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Minos's Verneri Rimpilä got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aapeli Lundell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Kim Karjala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aapeli Lundell struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Kim Karjala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Minos. When the referee ended the match the FC Minos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
