The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aleksis Andersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Verneri Rimpilä in the 8th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Aapeli Lundell managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Minos's supporters rose to their feet, but Aapeli Lundell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksis Andersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Verneri Rimpilä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aleksis Andersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verneri Rimpilä in the 25th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Minos's Taito Ruutu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aleksis Andersson. That made the score 2-0 after 32 minutes of play. Verneri Rimpilä was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. FC Minos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of FC Minos booed when FC Amöba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauri Peuhkuri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Verneri Rimpilä sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Jyrki Lahti sped through FC Minos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Timo Furuholm. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Panu Rajamäki made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Panu Rajamäki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo Furuholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, FC Minos's goalkeeper Timo Furuholm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jyrki Lahti. 64 minutes into the match, Aapeli Lundell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aleksis Andersson. FC Amöba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aapeli Lundell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Verneri Rimpilä in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aleksis Andersson saved FC Amöba from getting behind. In the 76th minute of the match Timo Savijoki sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aleksis Andersson skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the FC Amöba defense, Aapeli Lundell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aleksis Andersson. The FC Amöba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aleksis Andersson should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, FC Amöba's Taavetti Latvanen got a free kick in the 80th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaapro Hauhtonen during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, one of FC Amöba:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Amöba. Aleksis Andersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aapeli Lundell in the 87th minute of the match. Aleksis Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aapeli Lundell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Amöba's Aleksis Andersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ukko Hautamäki in the 99th minute of play.
