After 7 played minutes Pockar got a freekick which was hit by Oskari Askolin. Jalmari Vikström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Jalmari Vikström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Turun Tanakka's supporters rose to their feet, but Jalmari Vikström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Veikko Venäläinen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petri Kuusela kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Saku Eskola's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eelis Laurila firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 18 minutes, Jalmari Vikström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Turun Tanakka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jalmari Vikström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jarno Siltavirta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jalmari Vikström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veikko Venäläinen having to interfere. Aleksi Paavola charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aleksi Paavola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Jalmari Vikström came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Turun Tanakka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jalmari Vikström couldn't finish the play. Turun Tanakka's Jarno Siltavirta got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Turun Tanakka's Eelis Laurila proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Turun Tanakka from getting a goal against them. After having played for 44 minutes, Jalmari Vikström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Turun Tanakka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jalmari Vikström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Pockar's Veikko Venäläinen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Pockar from getting a goal against them. Jalmari Vikström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Veikko Venäläinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Veikko Venäläinen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jalmari Vikström in the 60th minute of play. After 67 played minutes Pockar got a freekick which was hit by Petri Kuusela. 71 minutes into the game, Kalle Kivimäki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pockar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Turun Tanakka the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Turun Tanakka's Petri Aho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Veikko Venäläinen. That made the score 0-1 after 73 minutes of play. In the 76th minute Jalmari Vikström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veikko Venäläinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Riku Lajunen hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Kalle Kivimäki kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Veikko Venäläinen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jalmari Vikström in the 89th minute of the match. Elmeri Kuusinen in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Veikko Venäläinen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
