Kalle Kivimäki started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Yppäri FC's Atso Pettinen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Veikko Venäläinen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Saku Eskola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Yppäri FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Veijo Pärssinen hit a great ball. When Aleksi Paavola got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Pockar. After a rather tough play, Yppäri FC's Tommi Tähtinen got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 28th minute of the match, Atso Pettinen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Veikko Venäläinen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 36th minute Keimo Kaukonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veikko Venäläinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aleksi Paavola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 minutes, Oskari Askolin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pockar and the Yppäri FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oskari Askolin kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Atso Pettinen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yppäri FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Atso Pettinen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Veikko Venäläinen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Keimo Kaukonen to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Yppäri FC booed when Pockar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petri Kuusela didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Petri Kuusela fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pockar's protests and gave Petri Kuusela a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Petri Kuusela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Tommi Tähtinen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Veikko Venäläinen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Keimo Kaukonen scored 3-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Veikko Venäläinen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute, Jarkko Huppunen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 played minutes Pockar got a freekick which was hit by Eero Viinanen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keimo Kaukonen in the 81st minute of play forced Pockar's goalkeeper Veikko Venäläinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Yppäri FC had played much better football throughout.
