An unexpectedly hard shot by Risto Kankaanpää in the 8th minute of play forced Pockar's goalkeeper Veikko Venäläinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Palosaaren Uimarit's Miro Karhunen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Veikko Venäläinen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Oskari Askolin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pockar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palosaaren Uimarit the free kick. The supporters of Palosaaren Uimarit booed when Pockar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oskari Askolin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Risto Kankaanpää sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Petri Kuusela fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pockar's protests and gave Petri Kuusela a yellow card for diving instead. Petri Kuusela kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Aleksi Paavola struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Kari Hakanpää didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pockar. Kari Hakanpää took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalle Kivimäki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Saku Eskola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pockar's supporters rose to their feet, but Saku Eskola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kari Hakanpää breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Pockar players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Palosaaren Uimarit were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kalle Kivimäki to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes Pockar got a freekick which was hit by Petri Kuusela. In the 57th minute, Miro Karhunen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Veikko Venäläinen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Risto Kankaanpää in the 60th minute. During the 67th minute of the match Petri Kuusela completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Petri Kuusela a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Pockar's Veikko Venäläinen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvi Peuhkuri in the 72nd minute of play. Kari Hakanpää showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksi Paavola in the 85th minute of the match. Aleksi Paavola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oskari Askolin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Kari Hakanpää tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aleksi Paavola scored 1-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kari Hakanpää, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
