Miro Karhunen started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Risto Kankaanpää managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palosaaren Uimarit's supporters crossed their fingers, but Risto Kankaanpää was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind AMJFB's goalkeeper Jarmo Karjala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Palosaaren Uimarit's goal looked a bit too open when Niilo Lehtilä came free, but Kari Hakanpää reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miro Karhunen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarmo Karjala having to interfere. Jarmo Karjala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Risto Kankaanpää in the 17th minute. Jarmo Karjala made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Risto Kankaanpää sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, AMJFB's goal looked a bit too open when Risto Kankaanpää came free, but Jarmo Karjala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Palosaaren Uimarit's Nikodemus Sorsa got a free kick in the 25th minute. Sulevi Palolahti took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kari Hakanpää. Palosaaren Uimarit's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Risto Kankaanpää managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarmo Karjala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miro Karhunen in the 47th minute of the match. The Palosaaren Uimarit players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AMJFB were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niilo Lehtilä stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Risto Kankaanpää recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarmo Karjala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miro Karhunen in the 58th minute of the match. Miro Karhunen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, AMJFB's goal looked a bit too open when Miro Karhunen came free, but Jarmo Karjala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Palosaaren Uimarit's zone, Niilo Lehtilä stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kari Hakanpää came out of the goal and Niilo Lehtilä tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Iiro Juujärvi fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palosaaren Uimarit's protests and gave Iiro Juujärvi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Palosaaren Uimarit getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Iiro Juujärvi hit a great ball. Daavid Gustafsson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kari Hakanpää firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kari Hakanpää showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niilo Lehtilä in the 73rd minute of the match. After 78 played minutes AMJFB got a freekick which was hit by Untamo Selänne. Iiro Juujärvi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daavid Gustafsson got free with Kari Hakanpää in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niilo Lehtilä in the 88th minute of play forced Palosaaren Uimarit's goalkeeper Kari Hakanpää to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the AMJFB defense, Alvi Peuhkuri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarmo Karjala. The AMJFB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarmo Karjala should have stopped the shot. Nikodemus Sorsa got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Palosaaren Uimarit's Nikodemus Sorsa got a free kick in the 94th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
