Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Passoja FC's Sami Pakarinen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valtteri Haanpää received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Juhani Marttinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Passoja FC were furious when Elmeri Kuuri was red carded, 13 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 12th minute, one of Passoja FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Passoja FC. After 20th play minutes Tahvo Kaarniemi shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Hannu Pitkämäki and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience was convinced that Tahvo Kaarniemi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hannu Pitkämäki was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tahvo Kaarniemi in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hannu Pitkämäki saved Passoja FC from getting behind. Alpo Nyman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hannu Pitkämäki having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Passoja FC's Antero Sjögren got a free kick in the 31st minute. Suurimaa FC's Kustaa Luoma suffered a sprained foot after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 35 minutes into the game, Saul Saastamoinen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Passoja FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Suurimaa FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Passoja FC's Saul Saastamoinen got a free kick in the 36th minute. Vesa Salmelainen's late challenge caught a Passoja FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vesa Salmelainen helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Suurimaa FC got a freekick which was hit by Vesa Salmelainen. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alpo Nyman to strike the kick off in the second half. The nice shot from Alpo Nyman in the 54thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Hannu Pitkämäki had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. With a little luck, Passoja FC's Hannu Pitkämäki got control of the ball when Alpo Nyman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pirkka Strömberg took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juhani Marttinen. Juhani Marttinen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Suurimaa FC's Alpo Nyman got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alpo Nyman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Hannu Pitkämäki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Janne Markkanen got free with Hannu Pitkämäki in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pirkka Strömberg kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 96th minute Valtteri Haanpää shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juhani Marttinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Suurimaa FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
