Atro Heinikangas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksi Huikari having to interfere. Yrjänä Nylund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Riku Pihlanen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tarvaspohja's supporters rose to their feet, but Lauri Vahalahti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Riku Pihlanen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Lauri Vahalahti came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Tarvaspohja fans jumped to their feet. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Atro Heinikangas made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Lauri Vahalahti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Riku Pihlanen was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Jääskä had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
