If Eerik Pitkämäki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Riku Pihlanen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iikka Pakaslahti in the 8th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Jääskä's Taito Kuki got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute Ismo Noponen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Riku Pihlanen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jääskä's goalkeeper Riku Pihlanen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Riku Pihlanen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iikka Pakaslahti in the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Kappellstrand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pirkka Aalto to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Kappellstrand's Jukka Tirkkonen got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Ismo Kuusela was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Kappellstrand getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Pirkka Aalto hit a great ball. Joona Lehterä made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atro Heinikangas in the 37th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Ismo Noponen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kappellstrand fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After the first half Kappellstrand were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Atro Heinikangas made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Jääskä's Antti Leino got a free kick in the 51st minute. When the match had been going on for 57 minutes, Kappellstrand's Jami Mantila got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Riku Pihlanen. After 62nd play minutes Atro Heinikangas shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Joona Lehterä and just under the crossbar into goal. Eerik Pitkämäki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joona Lehterä having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Jääskä's goalkeeper Riku Pihlanen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iikka Pakaslahti. In the 71st minute, Iikka Pakaslahti made a precise shot to the right of Riku Pihlanen. Jääskä's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After 75 minutes, Iikka Pakaslahti made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Jääskä's Riku Pihlanen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Iikka Pakaslahti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismo Noponen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Riku Pihlanen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iikka Pakaslahti in the 83rd minute. Taito Kuki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joona Lehterä having to interfere. If Iikka Pakaslahti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jääskä's Riku Pihlanen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Jääskä from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Kappellstrand's Jukka Tirkkonen got a free kick in the 99th minute. After 100 played minutes, Jääskä's Ismo Kuusela shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joona Lehterä came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jääskä reached it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kappellstrand eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
