In the 5th minute of the match Petteri Ollonen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joona Lehterä skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, FC Rantapallot's Maunu Palenius got control of the ball when Iikka Pakaslahti tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Kappellstrand's Ismo Noponen got a free kick in the 11th minute. The attack was good, but when Salomo Markkula in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Iikka Pakaslahti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Maunu Palenius skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ismo Noponen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maunu Palenius having to make a save. If Ismo Noponen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29thth minute of the game Aaro Uitto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kappellstrand's Joona Lehterä was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st minute, Aapeli Mäkilä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match Petteri Ollonen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joona Lehterä showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Kappellstrand getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Pirkka Aalto hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iikka Pakaslahti got free with Maunu Palenius in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ismo Noponen to make the kick off. Pirkka Aalto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Salomo Markkula notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Kappellstrand's Joona Lehterä. Joona Lehterä was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jukka Tirkkonen kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Joona Lehterä took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaro Uitto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 minutes, Iivo Kanninen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Rantapallot and the Kappellstrand players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Rantapallot getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Iivo Kanninen hit a great ball. Maunu Palenius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismo Noponen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Iikka Pakaslahti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iikka Pakaslahti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Maunu Palenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Kappellstrand's goalkeeper Joona Lehterä had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salomo Markkula. 82 minutes into the game, Aaro Uitto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Joona Lehterä was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute, Iikka Pakaslahti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iivo Kanninen got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Iivo Kanninen kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Kappellstrand's Jami Mantila was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Maunu Palenius in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Rantapallot walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
