Spectators: 7188 (Terracing: 5300, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 102) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aaro Uitto kicked off to start the match. Yrjö Sulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauko Pikkarainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaro Uitto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yrjö Sulin having to interfere. Salomo Markkula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yrjö Sulin having to interfere. Salomo Markkula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yrjö Sulin having to interfere. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Rantapallot's goalkeeper Maunu Palenius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yrjö Sulin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaro Uitto in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match FC Rantapallot got a corner. Vihiniemi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Petteri Ollonen ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Petteri Ollonen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vihiniemi's Yrjö Sulin did a great save. Rami Viitaluoma kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Aaro Uitto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Yrjö Sulin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Rantapallot's Salomo Markkula got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aaro Uitto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yrjö Sulin having to make a save. Yrjö Sulin came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Rantapallot's Salomo Markkula. But to his dismay, Salomo Markkula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half FC Rantapallot were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Antti Ihanamäki hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Salomo Markkula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maunu Palenius came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Vihiniemi's Iiro Vanhatalo. But to his dismay, Iiro Vanhatalo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Pekko Oravainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 83 minutes, Iiro Vanhatalo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vihiniemi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iiro Vanhatalo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maunu Palenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pekko Oravainen, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Salomo Markkula could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Yrjö Sulin made a huge save. When Salomo Markkula came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the FC Rantapallot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salomo Markkula couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute Aaro Uitto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yrjö Sulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Rantapallot were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
