The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tauno Reimari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Tero Lumijärvi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tauno Reimari in the 13th minute of play forced Mafors's goalkeeper Tero Lumijärvi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tauno Reimari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Janne Jokila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mafors's supporters rose to their feet, but Janne Jokila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juhana Leino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yrjänä Palenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tero Lumijärvi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juhana Leino didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 29th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Juhana Leino was a little too slow when Janne Jokila got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Janne Jokila in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juhana Leino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd minute, Kaleva Forss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juhana Leino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Salomo Virolainen in the 43rd minute. The Mafors fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Mafors's Janne Jokila looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Janne Jokila to strike the kick off in the second half. If Janne Jokila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Tero Lumijärvi throw himself and got hold of the ball when Yrjänä Palenius in the 56thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Salomo Virolainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salomo Virolainen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juhana Leino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janne Jokila in the 62nd minute of the match. Salomo Virolainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mafors's Janne Jokila got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pihlajavaara's Juhana Leino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janne Jokila in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Pihlajavaara's Erkki Rantanen got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 75th minute, Kaleva Forss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aleksanteri Laine took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juhana Leino. Pihlajavaara's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mafors's Salomo Virolainen got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Janne Jokila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juhana Leino was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Juhana Leino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janne Jokila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Erkki Rantanen was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 88 minutes had been played. In the 89th match minute, Pihlajavaara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erkki Rantanen to maneuver through the defense. Yrjänä Palenius kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Janne Jokila struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Juhana Leino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mafors. Juhana Leino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salomo Virolainen in the 94th minute of the match.
