The Westbay FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rainer Palonen should have stopped the shot. After 63 minutes of play, Syvari's Raine Karvinen made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rainer Palonen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vilppu Erkkilä kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Kalervo Litmanen kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Aukusti Hautaoja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 82nd minute, Tero Koivumäki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rainer Palonen was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Arsi Aalto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Syvari's supporters rose to their feet, but Arsi Aalto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rainer Palonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Syvari's Raine Karvinen got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Veli Kivi came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Westbay FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Veli Kivi couldn't finish the play.
