The referee ignored Perhon Kiri's protests and gave Iivo Alenius a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, Perhon Kiri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iivo Alenius to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kari Haanpää got free with Uoti Sauso in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antti Palonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miska Tallus in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tampereen palloveikot's zone, Miska Tallus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antti Palonen came out of the goal and Miska Tallus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30 played minutes Tampereen palloveikot got a freekick which was hit by Aleksi Brinck. Miska Tallus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aapo Nybacka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Uoti Sauso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Einari Läänelä hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When Aapo Nybacka came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Tampereen palloveikot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aapo Nybacka couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Perhon Kiri reached it. Aapo Nybacka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Uoti Sauso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uoti Sauso came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Tampereen palloveikot's Kari Haanpää. But to his dismay, Kari Haanpää quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Antti Palonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keijo Helenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute Aapo Nybacka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uoti Sauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karri Rahkola's late challenge caught a Tampereen palloveikot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karri Rahkola helped the player get up and apologised. Karri Rahkola hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match.
