After a rather tough play, FC PiPeCa's Kaapro Mäkinen got a free kick in the 9th minute. When Aappo Metsäranta came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the HolaHolaT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aappo Metsäranta couldn't finish the play. Janne Riihijärvi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taneli Myllys in the 13th minute of the match. FC PiPeCa's Janne Riihijärvi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save FC PiPeCa from getting a goal against them. After having played for 18 minutes, Taneli Myllys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HolaHolaT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taneli Myllys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ilmo Sorsa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaapro Mäkinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Paul Lindberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25th play minutes Kaapro Mäkinen shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ilmo Sorsa and just under the crossbar into goal. Paul Lindberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilmo Sorsa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Aappo Metsäranta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Janne Riihijärvi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kaapro Mäkinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paul Lindberg in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilmo Sorsa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC PiPeCa's Ensio Luusua suffered a concussion in the 42nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. During the 42nd minute of the match Olavi Lumme completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Olavi Lumme a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 44th match minute, HolaHolaT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavi Lumme to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aappo Metsäranta to make the kick off. FC PiPeCa's Paul Lindberg got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Aappo Metsäranta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Lindberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Ilmo Sorsa made a huge save. HolaHolaT's Aappo Metsäranta got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paul Lindberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilmo Sorsa having to interfere. FC PiPeCa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
