Turkka Manninen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aapo Nybacka in the 13th minute of the match. Kari Haanpää's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Turkka Manninen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After 18 minutes of play, Real Kemi's Esa Lehtimäki made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antti Palonen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Turkka Manninen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kari Haanpää in the 33rd minute of play. If Kari Haanpää had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esa Lehtimäki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Antti Palonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esa Lehtimäki in the 40th minute of play forced Tampereen palloveikot's goalkeeper Antti Palonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Allan Laurila during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Real Kemi getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Allan Laurila hit a great ball.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Kari Haanpää got free with Turkka Manninen in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Turkka Manninen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kari Haanpää in the 69th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes Real Kemi got a freekick which was hit by Antti Niskala. In the 74th minute, Kari Haanpää made a precise shot to the right of Turkka Manninen. Real Kemi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 77 minutes, Aleksi Brinck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tampereen palloveikot and the Real Kemi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aleksi Brinck hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match.
