Perhon Kiri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tampereen palloveikot the free kick. After 26 played minutes Perhon Kiri got a freekick which was hit by Einari Läänelä. Kari Haanpää fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uoti Sauso having to interfere. Aleksi Brinck's late challenge caught a Perhon Kiri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aleksi Brinck helped the player get up and apologised. Aleksi Brinck hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Keijo Helenius in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antti Palonen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miska Tallus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Antti Palonen made a huge save. After 44 minutes, Heimo Oksa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tampereen palloveikot and the Perhon Kiri players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tampereen palloveikot getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Heimo Oksa hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Keijo Helenius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Perhon Kiri's supporters rose to their feet, but Miska Tallus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antti Palonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The attack was good, but when Keijo Helenius in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Miska Tallus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th match minute, Tampereen palloveikot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksi Brinck to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Keijo Helenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antti Palonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antti Palonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keijo Helenius in the 89th minute of the match.
