In the 15thth minute of the game Mikko Hahto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Kristina's Valio Lotvonen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Sporting Kristina's Joni Välivaara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iikka Raukko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th match minute, Nauvo IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petri Oravainen to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st play minute Kimmo Joenväärä came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Valio Lotvonen. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvo Viinikainen in the 23rd minute of play forced Nauvo IFK's goalkeeper Iikka Raukko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joni Välivaara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Nauvo IFK's Pauli Lönnblad got a free kick in the 29th minute. Jaakko Villanen kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Kimmo Joenväärä recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valio Lotvonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikko Hahto in the 42nd minute of play. Mikko Hahto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Valio Lotvonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kimmo Joenväärä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Arho Koski's late challenge caught a Nauvo IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arho Koski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, Sporting Kristina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arho Koski to maneuver through the defense. Joni Välivaara kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Sporting Kristina's Valio Lotvonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikko Hahto in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of Nauvo IFK booed when Sporting Kristina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvo Viinikainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Mikko Hahto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Kristina's zone, Mikko Hahto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valio Lotvonen came out of the goal and Mikko Hahto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arho Koski struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Iikka Raukko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Kristina. In the 79th minute, Joni Välivaara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Petri Oravainen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nauvo IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Kristina the free kick. After 82 played minutes Nauvo IFK got a freekick which was hit by Petri Oravainen. Jaakoppi Ristolainen charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaakoppi Ristolainen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valio Lotvonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikko Hahto, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Mikko Hahto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Valio Lotvonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sporting Kristina players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Nauvo IFK from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
