In the 9th minute, Mennen FC's Untamo Kiviranta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Kiired getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Teemu Alin hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Untamo Kiviranta in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yrjö Vanhatalo saved Kiired from getting behind. The supporters of Mennen FC booed when Kiired was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Saravo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Untamo Kiviranta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yrjö Vanhatalo. That made the score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Yrjänä Haapaporras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mennen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yrjänä Haapaporras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kiired's attentive Jorma Multaharju managed to snatch the ball when Valdemar Johansson made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. Johannes Huikari charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johannes Huikari the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Johannes Huikari kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Yrjänä Haapaporras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Yrjö Vanhatalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fateh Zerara made a kick off. If Fateh Zerara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fateh Zerara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jyrki Timonen having to interfere. The supporters of Mennen FC booed when Kiired was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teemu Alin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes, Mennen FC's Arttu Timonen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yrjö Vanhatalo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mennen FC reached it. Yrjö Vanhatalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lasse Leppilampi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Saravo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Vilppu Vehmanen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yrjö Vanhatalo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 87th match minute, Mennen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lasse Leppilampi to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Saravo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jyrki Timonen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Valentin Saravo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jyrki Timonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Valentin Saravo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Kiired fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Saravo couldn't finish the play. Kiired's Yrjö Vanhatalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Untamo Kiviranta in the 97th minute of play.
