Keijo Markkula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Kosti Paappanen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Friedbert Bähner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uolevi Martikainen, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The Fc Pallipoiskad fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Fc Pallipoiskad's Urpo Riippa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 17 played minutes Keijo Markkula rounded Fc Pallipoiskad's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. In the 33rdth minute of the game Urpo Riippa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Viksgård's Friedbert Bähner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Friedbert Bähner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urpo Riippa in the 35th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Viksgård's Kosti Paappanen threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Keijo Markkula, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 47 played minutes Viksgård got a freekick which was hit by Vilho Karalahti.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joni Venäläinen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pekko Sainio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kosti Paappanen having to interfere. When Keijo Hauhtonen came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Viksgård fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keijo Hauhtonen couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the game, Keijo Markkula cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Kosti Paappanen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd minute Keijo Markkula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kosti Paappanen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kosti Paappanen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keijo Markkula in the 65th minute of play. Kalervo Lehtonen struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Kosti Paappanen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viksgård. 69 minutes into the match, Fc Pallipoiskad's goal looked a bit too open when Keijo Markkula came free, but Kosti Paappanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keijo Markkula in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kosti Paappanen saved Fc Pallipoiskad from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Keijo Markkula made a precise shot to the right of Kosti Paappanen. Fc Pallipoiskad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Eerikki Rovio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 78 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Viksgård:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fc Pallipoiskad:s goal. Kauno Raita shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The supporters of Fc Pallipoiskad booed when Viksgård was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilho Karalahti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Urpo Riippa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the game, Viksgård's Keijo Markkula nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kosti Paappanen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. Viksgård's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
