The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Saramo's goalkeeper Lasse Kuivaharju had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eljas Kuuri. Taneli Rautee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rasmus Kiuru having to interfere. When Kullervo Nikkari came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Jurvansalo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kullervo Nikkari couldn't finish the play. Lasse Kuivaharju showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kullervo Nikkari in the 14th minute of the match. Jurvansalo's Rasmus Kiuru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Voitto Markkula in the 21st minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jurvansalo! Voitto Markkula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rasmus Kiuru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Eljas Kuuri came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Jurvansalo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eljas Kuuri couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kullervo Nikkari in the 31st minute of play forced Saramo's goalkeeper Lasse Kuivaharju to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Voitto Markkula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rasmus Kiuru having to interfere. Eljas Kuuri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Lasse Kuivaharju made a huge save. If Voitto Markkula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Voitto Markkula ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rasmus Kiuru was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The Jurvansalo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Saramo were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kullervo Nikkari stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Saramo's goalkeeper Lasse Kuivaharju, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Kullervo Nikkari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jurvansalo's supporters rose to their feet, but Kullervo Nikkari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lasse Kuivaharju breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute, Timo Lehtonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Voitto Markkula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Voitto Markkula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alpo Pietilä hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Eljas Kuuri struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Lasse Kuivaharju didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jurvansalo. Kullervo Nikkari scored 1-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lasse Kuivaharju, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lasse Kuivaharju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kullervo Nikkari in the 89th minute of play. Jurvansalo's Kullervo Nikkari got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, Kullervo Nikkari cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Lasse Kuivaharju was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew the final whistle, Jurvansalo could leave the field as winners, despite Saramo having more of the ball for most of the match.
