Eero Koistinen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauno Kaven in the 4th minute of play. If Jori Bärlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bossmen booed when Potku-Pallo-Kerho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesse Halonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Auvo Myllys sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osmo Pyhältö skillfully saved the ball. Tero Vatanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmo Pyhältö having to interfere. Mauno Kaven struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Eero Koistinen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Potku-Pallo-Kerho. With a little luck, Potku-Pallo-Kerho's Osmo Pyhältö got control of the ball when Tero Vatanen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aarno Hietaharju charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Hemminki Laamanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 31 minutes on the clock, Sulho Kantola commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Potku-Pallo-Kerho:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bossmen:s goal. Osmo Pyhältö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hemminki Laamanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hemminki Laamanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Potku-Pallo-Kerho's Osmo Pyhältö played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hemminki Laamanen in the 40th minute of play.

In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Potku-Pallo-Kerho's goalkeeper Osmo Pyhältö, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd match minute, Potku-Pallo-Kerho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesse Halonen to maneuver through the defense. Bossmen were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Potku-Pallo-Kerho's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Auvo Myllys took the corner. Hemminki Laamanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Bossmen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hemminki Laamanen in the 88th minute of play forced Potku-Pallo-Kerho's goalkeeper Osmo Pyhältö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Hemminki Laamanen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bossmen's supporters rose to their feet, but Hemminki Laamanen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osmo Pyhältö breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bossmen fully deserved thier win.
