Spectators: 6802 (Terracing: 5001, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 30) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eemil Timonen took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Aarno Turunen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leif Ryynänen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lasse Kuivaharju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eemil Timonen in the 12th minute of play. Jarkko Poikolainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taneli Rautee, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kemi's zone, Voitto Markkula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarkko Poikolainen came out of the goal and Voitto Markkula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Saramo's Voitto Markkula slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jarkko Poikolainen. That made the score 1-0 after 23 minutes of play. A collision led to Saramo getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Timo Lehtonen hit a great ball. Leif Ryynänen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lasse Kuivaharju having to interfere. Saramo's Lasse Kuivaharju played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eemil Timonen in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saramo's goalkeeper Lasse Kuivaharju, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Voitto Markkula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jarkko Poikolainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leif Ryynänen in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lasse Kuivaharju prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 44 minutes into the match, Eemil Timonen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lasse Kuivaharju. Saramo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eemil Timonen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

The wind increased when Voitto Markkula made the kick off in the second half. Voitto Markkula's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarkko Poikolainen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Taneli Rautee kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match, Eemil Timonen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lasse Kuivaharju saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Leif Ryynänen scored 1-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lasse Kuivaharju, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eemil Timonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Lasse Kuivaharju tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Taneli Rautee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Taneli Rautee came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Saramo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taneli Rautee couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Eemil Timonen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kemi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Saramo's goalkeeper Lasse Kuivaharju, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leif Ryynänen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lasse Kuivaharju having to make a save.
