After a defensive mix-up in FC CHELSEA's zone, Jori Bärlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rainer Jalkanen came out of the goal and Jori Bärlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jani Uhlbäck charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jani Uhlbäck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes FC CHELSEA got a freekick which was hit by Jani Uhlbäck. Jori Bärlund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rainer Jalkanen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Osmo Pyhältö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jere Peltomaa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, Jere Peltomaa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Osmo Pyhältö was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Osmo Pyhältö made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paavali Huppunen in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Potku-Pallo-Kerho's zone, Jere Peltomaa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osmo Pyhältö came out of the goal and Jere Peltomaa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Jere Peltomaa managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC CHELSEA's supporters rose to their feet, but Jere Peltomaa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osmo Pyhältö breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute Paavali Huppunen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmo Pyhältö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osmo Pyhältö made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jere Peltomaa in the 48th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jori Bärlund made a kick off. Rainer Jalkanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jori Bärlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Osmo Pyhältö showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paavali Huppunen in the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Jori Bärlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rainer Jalkanen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jere Peltomaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmo Pyhältö having to interfere. Jori Bärlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paavali Huppunen in the 77th minute of play forced Potku-Pallo-Kerho's goalkeeper Osmo Pyhältö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jere Peltomaa struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Osmo Pyhältö didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC CHELSEA. After 92 played minutes FC CHELSEA got a freekick which was hit by Jani Uhlbäck. In the 94th match minute, Potku-Pallo-Kerho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sulho Kantola to maneuver through the defense.
