Spectators: 7687 (Terracing: 5766, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eemil Timonen started the match with the kick off. Rasmus Kiuru came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Kemi's Eemil Timonen. But to his dismay, Eemil Timonen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 19th minute Leif Ryynänen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rasmus Kiuru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eemil Timonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Rauli Vähä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leif Ryynänen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rasmus Kiuru having to interfere. When Raino Sauso fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kemi's protests and gave Raino Sauso a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jurvansalo booed when Kemi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raino Sauso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kemi's zone, Kullervo Nikkari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarkko Poikolainen came out of the goal and Kullervo Nikkari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eljas Kuuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Kullervo Nikkari left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jurvansalo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jarkko Poikolainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kullervo Nikkari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kullervo Nikkari made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Kullervo Nikkari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jurvansalo's supporters rose to their feet, but Kullervo Nikkari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarkko Poikolainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Kullervo Nikkari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eljas Kuuri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarkko Poikolainen having to interfere. If Kullervo Nikkari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Tommi Tuomainen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leif Ryynänen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Rasmus Kiuru made a huge save. Teuvo Eskelinen kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Leif Ryynänen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, one of Jurvansalo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Kemi a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Miikka Okkonen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jurvansalo's Rasmus Kiuru. 1-2. Leif Ryynänen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rasmus Kiuru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leif Ryynänen struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Rasmus Kiuru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kemi. 80 minutes into the match, Jurvansalo's goal looked a bit too open when Eemil Timonen came free, but Rasmus Kiuru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Leif Ryynänen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kemi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leif Ryynänen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Eemil Timonen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Leif Ryynänen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rasmus Kiuru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eemil Timonen in the 98th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kemi eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
