If Esko Rahkonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oiva Viljamaa struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Ahti Karvinen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rattosjärvi. After a rather tough play, Perinkää's Julius Siltanen got a free kick in the 9th minute. Arho Hänninen hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Perinkää's goalkeeper Ahti Karvinen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rattosjärvi's Sami Snellman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paavo Palolahti in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Paavo Palolahti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sami Snellman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Perinkää booed when Rattosjärvi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tuukka Nieminen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Perinkää fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Perinkää's Rasmus Ojanen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Kaarlo Kampman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ahti Karvinen. That made the score 2-1 in the 36 minute of play. Oiva Viljamaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Kaarlo Kampman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kaarlo Kampman to strike the kick off in the second half. Julius Siltanen, 52 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Rattosjärvi's goal looked a bit too open when Rasmus Ojanen came free, but Sami Snellman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oiva Viljamaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahti Karvinen having to interfere. Esko Rahkonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ahti Karvinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Perinkää getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Niilo Kimmonen hit a great ball. Oiva Viljamaa struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Paavo Palolahti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perinkää's supporters rose to their feet, but Paavo Palolahti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sami Snellman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 78 minutes, Juha Heinikallio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rattosjärvi and the Perinkää players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes Rattosjärvi got a freekick which was hit by Juha Heinikallio. In the 84th minute, Esko Rahkonen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juha Heinikallio hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oiva Viljamaa in the 89th minute of play forced Perinkää's goalkeeper Ahti Karvinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Oiva Viljamaa came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Rattosjärvi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oiva Viljamaa couldn't finish the play. Ahti Karvinen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oiva Viljamaa went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. There was no doubt that Rattosjärvi were the better team. Rattosjärvi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
