Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kaarlo Kampman started the match with the kick off. Puuluoto's Olli Koistinen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Puuluoto from getting a goal against them. When Kaarlo Kampman came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Rattosjärvi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaarlo Kampman couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Oiva Viljamaa sped through Puuluoto's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olli Koistinen. Aulis Sorsa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Sami Snellman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Kaarlo Kampman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olli Koistinen was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 19th minute of the match Rattosjärvi got a corner. Puuluoto's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ensio Uusipaavalniemi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Oiva Viljamaas short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Olli Koistinen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 28 minutes of play, Puuluoto's Aulis Sorsa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sami Snellman was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Juuso Kuhta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaarlo Kampman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olli Koistinen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaarlo Kampman, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Riku Riksman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Puuluoto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rattosjärvi the free kick. The supporters of Rattosjärvi booed when Puuluoto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Riku Riksman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Oiva Viljamaa put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Olli Koistinen. Olli Koistinen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaarlo Kampman in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juuso Kuhta was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Puuluoto's Riku Riksman got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Ensio Uusipaavalniemi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Olli Koistinen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaarlo Kampman in the 55th minute of the match. Olli Koistinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oiva Viljamaa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute of the match Saul Perämäki shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olli Koistinen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rattosjärvi's Oiva Viljamaa got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th match minute, Puuluoto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erkki Hernesniemi to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaarlo Kampman in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olli Koistinen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Oiva Viljamaa came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Rattosjärvi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oiva Viljamaa couldn't finish the play. After having played for 84 minutes, Kaarlo Kampman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rattosjärvi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaarlo Kampman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kaarlo Kampman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Oiva Viljamaa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Puuluoto's Juuso Kuhta got a free kick in the 89th minute. Oiva Viljamaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Puuluoto's Olli Koistinen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaarlo Kampman in the 94th minute of play.
