When Stefan Fogel fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Barcelona's protests and gave Stefan Fogel a yellow card for diving instead. Galip Batıhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Keimo Kananen made a huge save. Saul Rimpiläinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Saul Rimpiläinen lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Keimo Kananen. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 94th match minute, Kylmälä was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Repo to maneuver through the defense. Keimo Kananen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Galip Batıhan in the 96th minute of play. The FC Barcelona fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kylmälä were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
