Eemil Viisala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vesa Uotila, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Härjänvatsa IFK's Veikko Hautaoja sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vesa Teräs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Veikko Hautaoja succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. If Veikko Hautaoja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tero Äijälä in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tero Äijälä to make the kick off. If Veikko Hautaoja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tero Äijälä in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vesa Teräs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 62 minutes, Tero Äijälä managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Härjänvatsa IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tero Äijälä was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tero Äijälä sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tero Äijälä in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vesa Teräs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Taali FC defense, Tero Äijälä kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vesa Teräs. The Taali FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vesa Teräs should have stopped the shot. Tero Äijälä took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vesa Teräs. Vesa Teräs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. 78 minutes into the match, Taali FC's goal looked a bit too open when Veikko Hautaoja came free, but Vesa Teräs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vesa Teräs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tero Äijälä's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Vesa Teräs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tero Äijälä went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. Veikko Hautaoja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vesa Teräs having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Mauri Siltanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antero Nikko in the 92nd minute of play forced Taali FC's goalkeeper Vesa Teräs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marko Huhtiniemi during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for Härjänvatsa IFK. Antero Nikko stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vesa Teräs. 8-1. 98 minutes into the match, Veikko Hautaoja notched a goal, 9-1, to the right of Taali FC's Vesa Teräs. Vesa Teräs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Härjänvatsa IFK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
